PUPILS from a Scarborough school were transported back to the era of the Second World War during a production to promote the importance of friendship.
The Year Six pupils from St George’s Primary School put on We’ll Meet Again - which promoted a strong anti-bullying message against the backdrop of the conflict.
The play was organised by Gemma Jarrett, who is currently training to be a teaching assistant, and she said it has been a great success.
She added: “The play was part of a requirement of my course and the children all talked about the messages they wanted to put across and then helped make the costumes and set and worked on the script too.
“They were rehearsing for weeks and have performed for their fellow students and parents.
“It went really well and the children all thoroughly enjoyed it.”
