YOUNGSTERS from a Scarborough school had a wheel-y good time in a cycling course!
The pupils from Woodlands School took part in the Bikeability scheme to boost their confidence behind the handlebars.
Instructors, including Rob Brown, helped children during four afternoon sessions a weeks for three weeks.
Su Barker, the school’s PE teacher said: “The progress and enjoyment our students have gained and the experience they have picked up has gone beyond our expectations.
“Many children, who have previously been unable to ride a two-wheeler have developed into confident cyclists in the playground.
“Their sense of achievement and increase in self-esteem has been priceless.
“Those who are more experienced riders have enjoyed developing their skills and knowledge through fun and activities.
“Bikeability has been a great success and we are extremely grateful to Rob Brown and his team for their expertise, help and patience.”
