RESIDENTS are again being reminded to complete and return their electoral register forms to avoid a visit by canvassers.
Scarborough council has to carry out an annual canvass each year and it is a legal requirement for residents to provide the information requested.
Starting this weekend, the council’s canvassers will be visiting those properties where an electoral register form has not been returned.
All canvass staff will carry photographic ID so that they can be easily identified.
If anyone requires any further assistance or advice when completing their form they should contact the Elections Office helpline, Mondays to Friday between normal office hours on telephone numbers (01723) 232309, 383545 or 232307.
