Students in Year 10 recently enjoyed an overnight visit to London to visit the Houses of Parliament, and many other sights.

The visit, which was sponsored by MP Robert Goodwill, enabled students to take a tour of the Parliament, visiting the House of Commons, House of Lords, Westminster Hall and St Stephen’s Hall.

In addition, as part of the trip, the students took a walking tour of the major sights including Buckingham Palace, The Mall, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Westminster Abbey and Westminster Cathedral. Also, some students bravely took a tour up the Cathedral Tower to enjoy spectacular views across London.

Mrs Edwards (PSHE Co-ordinator) said: “It was a fantastic trip and the students were outstanding. We walked for miles around London and really made the most of the limited time we had. The Houses of Parliament was fascinating and well worth the trip.”
