RESIDENTS of Eastfield and the surrounding area are invited to get creative this October.
The Dell Rangers and Eastfield Library are launching a free art and photography competition for locals of all ages to enter.
Nature Ranger David Spencer said: “The idea is to get people to interpret the Dell and its wildlife in the autumn as the season changes. We’d like to raise the profile of the Dell, which is a great place to visit year round, not just in the spring and summer.
“There are four age categories with a first and second prize in each. We are looking for originality, but not necessarily technical expertise. The art entries can be anything: paintings, models, collages or something else. Likewise, people can interpret and take photos as they wish.”
The age groups are: up to eight years (art or photography), nine to 12, 13 to 18 and over 18 (photography).
All entries should be submitted – as hard copies/original artwork – to Eastfield Library between October 3 and 31.
Entry forms are available from library staff, and these have details of competition rules, classes and how to enter. For further information call 07563737704, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
