VISITORS to an information and awareness event in Scarborough learnt more about looking after youngsters with epilepsy.

The session was organised by the Scarborough branch of Epilepsy Action and took place at Friarage School.

It was aimed at helping representatives from schools, along with parents, to find out how best to support children with the condition.

Organiser Tracey Vasey said: “It went really well. I was pleased with the turnout, but would liked to have seen more schools represented.”

She is meeting hospital bosses to ask about the trust taking on a paediatric epilepsy nurse. Any parents who would like their comments noted should email tntvasey@hotmail.co.uk
