All the signs are pointing towards another record-breaking Ryedale Show.
More than 20,000 people descended on Welburn Park, near Kirkbymoorside, for the 147th edition of the agricultural show on Tuesday, say organisers.
“It has been an excellent show, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect and it’s been a brilliant turn-out - it looks like it’s going to be a record breaker,” said Tom Watson, the show secretary.
“We have had a lot of feedback from people saying that the livestock and produce are excellent and how high the standards and quality of the horse classes are.”
Ryedale Show is the traditional “shop window” for the district’s farming industry and a chance for them to show off their stock, meet customers and gain new business.
