A GLAMOROUS fashion show in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care will be held next month at Scarborough’s Crown Spa Hotel.
The event, which starts at 7pm on Wednesday February 2, will feature clothing and hats from local businesses including Cosmetique, The Wedding Room and Get Ahead Hats, all modelled by volunteers who are giving up their time to support the charity.
Items on show will include wedding outfits for mothers of the bride, groom and guests, cruise-wear for that special holiday and prom gowns for the younger generation.
Canapés will be served to the guests as the models meander among the tables.
Marie Curie community fundraiser, Michael Streets, said: “The event is open to all and we especially welcome younger people to attend as there will be a lovely selection of prom wear to view.
“There will also be a tombola and raffle with prizes donated from local companies. Money raised will go towards the local Marie Curie Nursing service that cares for the terminally ill in their own homes.”
Tickets for the show are priced at £12.50 for adults and £7.50 for students and are available from the local fundraising office, 1 Belle Vue Street, Scarborough or by calling the office on (01723) 378111.
They are also available from Cosmetique in St Nicholas Street and The Wedding Room in Bar Street.
