WYKEHAM Gathering, the latest addition to the local festival scene, arrives on Sunday.
It will showcase local talent at the Downe Arms in Wykeham.
It is being put together by the team behind the Acoustic Gathering festival, held every autumn in Peasholm Park. The proceeds will go to AG6, which has been affected by grant cuts. It will be on Sunday 11 September.
Co-organiser Steve Dickinson says: “Paul Bower from the Downe Arms gave me a call a few months back with a view to holding a family-orientated music event there. During a visit to this fabulous setting, it was clear a new mini-festival was in the making. We will have a full band stage in the main function room and an acoustic stage in the garden.”
The music kicks off on the main stage at 3pm with What Would Chuck Do? followed by Everyone an Army, Sofajunkies, TFI Music, Jesse Hutchinson, Ishka and bill-topper Alastair James.
Codie-Leigh Rylatt will open up the alfresco acoustic stage at 3.45pm, followed by Max Kynman, Mat Harrop, Ollie Koppert, Alice Kynman and Daz Cooke.
The festival will have a bar, catering facilities, art and craft stalls and children’s activities including a play area.
Tickets cost £5 and can be bought at Mojo’s and the Downe Arms.
