A SCARBOROUGH charity is striking up the band for a huge fundraising concert.

Ampleforth College Big Band will take to the stage at Helmsley Arts Centre on Sunday, March 11 to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice.

The event will also generate funds for Ryedale Folk Museum.

David Marshall, the hospice’s director of funding development, said: “We are delighted to join forces with Ryedale Folk Museum for what promises to be a fantastic concert.

“The band has an excellent reputation and we are all looking forward to the afternoon.”

Tickets are now on sale and available from Ryedale Folk Museum and Helmsley Arts Centre.
