Firefighters are tackling a blaze which has destroyed part of Glaves Butchers in Brompton.
Seven fire engines have been on the scene since around 8.45am after the fire broke out at the family run business in Cayley Lane.
Water is currently being pumped from the beck in the village as crews dampen the flames from above using the aerial ladder.
The blaze is believed to have originated on the roof, which has since collapsed along with a rear wall.
Reports from the scene state all persons are accounted for and there are no injuries.
The fire is a devastating blow to the popular business which employs around 20 people and last year celebrated its 40th anniversary.
