SAINT Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough is seeking high-fliers to bravely take to the skies and experience the thrill of a lifetime by completing a parachute jump in support of patient care.
If you would like to face up to the challenge and experience the thrill of freefall, then make a date in your diary for Saturday July 21, 2012.
The parachute jump day has become an established event on the hospice fundraising calendar and each year more and more supporters take up the challenge and “drop in to fundraising”!
Fundraiser Louise Gravestock said: “Challenge events are becoming ever more popular and in particular our parachute day. Last year, we saw 33 thrill-seeking supporters bravely take to the skies, raising over £15,000 for patient care.
She added “It is always lovely to meet the parachutists and hear of their motivation to ‘take the plunge’, and the satisfaction they get from completing the jump whilst raising money for Saint Catherine’s Hospice.”
