Three men and a woman have appeared at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court facing charges of conspiracy to enter premises as a trespasser and steal therein.
The defendants are Lee Hartley, 41, of Doncaster; David Hall, 42, of Gladstone Road; David Marsh, 41, of North Marine Road; and Leonie Fay Park, 34, of Barrowcliff Road.
The four were originally charged with offences of conspiracy to burgle between June 23 and July 24 in connection with a number of offences, including burglaries in Holly Walk, Newlands Park Drive post office, Nisa in North Leas Avenue, T&S Motors and properties in Raleigh Street and Fairfax Street. Items alleged to have been stolen included a car, motorcycle and quad bike.
The conspiracy to burgle charge was dropped and replaced with conspiracy to enter as a trespasser and steal therein.
All four defendants remain in custody and are due to appear at York Crown Court on August 12.
