STUDENTS put in pedal power to cycle the length of Gambia for a fundraising initiative to help educate children in the country.
Taking a ‘break’ from the new Enterprise and Entrepreneurship course, they clocked up 200 miles on an exercise bike with all sponsorship going towards The Gambia Project.
Lecturer Neil Arnott said: “The students have a target of raising £1,000 by the end of January and the bike ride is just one activity to help them to do this.
“Eze Fitness at Eastfield kindly allowed them to use the gym for free. They completed the task after four hours and have so far raised over £100 towards their target from this, bringing the total raised so far to around £350.”
