THE Scarborough Friends of Martin House Children’s Hospice wish to thank a number of supporters who have raised money for the cause.
Representative George Sowersby said: “We would like to thank Elaine Jackson, who raised £250 by running a bingo session at Sherburn Village Hall, and also to all those who participated in the event.
“Also to Denise and David Ward of East Ayton, who are also friends of Martin House, for their kind donation of £245.75 raised by a tractor run though local villages.”
Mr Sowersby also thanked Headers barbers in Aberdeen Walk, who have continued to collect donations for Martin House.
The next Martin House fundraising event will be a flower arrangement and display session at Scarborough Rugby Club on Thursday November 24 at 2pm.
It will feature floral demonstrations by Jo Purdy and millinery by Jane Wheldon. There will also be stalls and a raffle.

On Saturday November 26, the annual Christmas Fair will be held from 10am to noon at Westborough Church.
It will feature stalls, a raffle, cakes, tombola, toys and more.
