THE annual Stableford competition in aid of the Scarborough Parkinson’s UK branch was held at South Cliff Golf Club.
Players competed for the Lynnette Bayes PDS Nurse Trophy and 132 golfers from Yorkshire took part. The event, which was organised by Parkinson’s sufferer Mike Duck from Malton and his wife Jeanette, raised £1,700 for the branch. The winning team from Malton was captained by Howard Mayne and comprised Craig Salt, Nick Robinson and Shaun Blenkin.
The competitors and organisers were thanked by branch chairman Pat Berry for their generous support.
All the competitors praised the South Cliff Club facilities and complimented the club on the condition of the course, despite a torrential downpour overnight before the competition started.
