HOSPICE supporters raised funds to the tune of £2,000 in an entertainment evening in memory of John Huntington.
The event at The Corporation Club in Dean Road was organised by Graeme Casper and friends who raised a total £2141.76 for patient care at Saint Catherine’s Hospice.
It was held in memory of a life-long friend and in appreciation of the support given by the hospice, prior to his death earlier this year.
Mr Casper said: “I would like to thank everyone who came along, the individuals and businesses who donated prizes and the ladies darts team who organised a collection. Special thanks go to James Aconley for entertainment and Paul Walker of 24/7 for the transport.
“We put this event on for John and he would have done the same for any one of us.”
