THE funeral of a 15-year-old girl who died in a road accident earlier this month was due to take place today.

Lady Lumley’s School pupil Natalia Wiley, of Pickering, died when the car she was travelling in on the A170 between Ebberston and Snainton overturned on the evening of January 8.

Dozens of floral tributes continue to be laid at the scene of the fatal crash.

Her funeral is scheduled to be held at St Peter and St Paul Church in Pickering at 12.30pm.

The public funeral will be followed by a private interment.

Thousands of people have joined groups on social network website Facebook dedicated to the teenager’s memory.

The 18-year-old man who was driving the blue Vauxhall Corsa in which Natalia was arrested in connection with the incident.

A 21-year-old driver of a white Ford Fiesta was also arrested. Police said he is from the Kirkbymoorside area.

Both men have been released on bail as police investigations continue.
