AN open gardens event is taking place this weekend at various locations in the Scarborough area.
Wykeham is taking part and there will be six to 10 gardens open from 1pm to 5pm on Sunday, including North House, between the Wykeham estate office and the church.
The property was designed by William Butterfield, the famous architect who also designed the church and school.
Tickets cost £3 from the Wykeham Business Centre.
Also the ﬁrst ever Open Gardens at Ravenscar and Staintondale will take place between 11am and 3pm on Saturday.
Eleven gardens will be open, set in the National Park, including Moorland House, which also offers a rummage sale and rides on a miniature railway, and the famous Shire Horse Farm. Admission is £3 per adult, free for children, and will be by map, available on the day from St Hilda’s Church.
