Scarborough fire crews are putting the kettle on - along with scores of people across the town - in preparation for Macmillan’s “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”.
The fundraiser is taking place next week, with all the money raised going to help support people with cancer.
The fire station event will be held on Friday September 28 from 9am to noon, with everyone invited to call in for coffee and cakes.
There will also be chance to take a look around a fire engine and write a message on a balloon, which will be released at noon.
Any donations of cakes will be gratefully accepted and can be dropped off on Thursday.
Scarborough and District Fundraising Committee for Macmillan Cancer Support is also inviting people to their event at the Grand Hotel on Thursday from 10am to noon.
Home-made treats will be on sale and you can try your luck on the giant tombola, with more than 100 prizes to be won.
Charity Christmas cards will be on sale along with a selection of crafts.
Staff at Barclays in St Nicholas Street are also supporting Macmillan, with an all-day coffee morning next Friday.
Customers will be encouraged to vote on which lucky male employees will get their legs waxed at 4pm.
A raffle will also be drawn at 4pm with the chance to win a family ticket to the theatre, pampering vouchers and other goodies.
And on Wednesday, there will be a collection for Macmillan in the M&S Cafe, Newborough, from 9am to 5pm.
Everyone is welcome to come along to any of these events.
