Shiptons Jewellers, on Huntriss Row, held a coffee morning on Monday 21 March to raise funds for the town’s RNLI.

Manager Dawn Bell and her team invited customers for homemade refreshments and to take part in various prize-winning activities, including ‘Name the Mascot’ – a knitted RNLI Lifeboatman – choosing from a list of the current crew.

The winner was Dave Smith from Doncaster who chose ‘Keith’.

A topical quiz was won by Mrs Fields who won a stunning aquamarine pendant worth £135, donated by the company.

Raffle winner Mrs Wilkinson won a £100 gift voucher to spend at Shiptons.

The event raised £335 for the Scarborough branch of the RNLI.
