TEENAGERS are glamming up for prom season, and in dressing for the occasion, they will also raise money for a cause close to their hearts.

Year 11 Scalby School pupils are holding a prom fair on February 22 with catwalk exhibitions from Wedding Belles, The Wedding Room, Beautiful Brides, Debenhams, Greenwoods and Frockabella.

Wedding Belles has also donated a prom dress to be raffled for charity.

Head of Year 11, Alison Lee, said: “We are extremely grateful for these very generous gifts which will be a thrilling prize for our girls, whilst raising money for the charity named after the students’ former classmate, Ellie Othick-Bowmaker, who died from a brain tumour on Valentine’s Day two years ago, after a brave struggle.

“The prom fair, for students and parents of the school only, will also feature stalls from other businesses, entertainment and refreshments.”
