Group in nine-mile walk

The approach of the summer solstice was celebrated in Fairy Dale by the Scarborough group of the Ramblers’
Association on Sunday.

A large group, including visitors from Beverley and Ryedale, walked on the Wolds from Fimber.

They followed the trackbed of the former Malton to Driffield railway to Whay Dale, then walked through Burdale to enter Fairy Dale, where they had lunch at the Fairy Stones.

They completed their nine-mile round trip via Wandale.
