TWO Scarborough teenagers are gearing up for a life-changing trip to Mexico with the Guide Movement.

Graham School pupils Shaye Hartley and Kacey Dale, both 14, will be travelling to World Guiding Centre “Our Cabaña” just outside Mexico City next year.

Guide leader Gill Armstrong said the pair were chosen for the trip due to their “commitment to Guiding and hard work”.

She added: “There will be Guides there from all over the world and the girls will be doing community work and working with family projects in Mexico.

“It’s such a massive opportunity. They’re really excited, but not quite sure what to expect.”

Their pack - 5th Scarborough Wreyfield - have been busy raising money towards the £4,000 needed for the trip.
