HAIR and beauty students swapped the salon for St Catherine’s Hospice for a day as they presented the proceeds of their festive fundraising.
The Academy of Hair and Beauty, based in Norton, presented £100 to the hospice after staff, students and clients chose to make a donation instead of sending Christmas cards.
While at the hospice, students were given a tour of the grounds to find out more about the work and specialist treatment if offers.
Hospice fundraising team leader Carolyn Jackson told the group how the hospice covers the largest area of any hospice in England.
She thanked The Academy for their support and said the money would go directly towards patient care.
Sophie Burr of The Academy said staff and clients are proud to support St Catherine’s Hospice.
