Bacon butties, coffee and ice cream will await participants in this years’s St Catherine’s Hospice Midnight Walk on September 14 courtesy of the Harbour Bar.

The family business in Sandside is supporting the walk for the sixth year running by providing refreshments to hundreds of walkers free of charge.

Hospice fundraiser Penny Campbell said: “We’re delighted with their continued support. All the staff are on board and some are taking part in the walk this year.

“They help each year with a smile on their face at such a late hour and during what is such a busy time of year for them.”

Penny added that entries have been coming in for the walk in their hundreds and would-be participants are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to ensure they get the correct T-shirt size.

Entry costs £12.50 for adults and £6.50 for children under 16. Entries will not be accepted on the day of the event.
