A GROUP of Scarborough women strutted their stuff on the catwalk in aid of charity.
Hats, dresses, jackets and skirts were all on show at the Fashion Evening, held at the Royal Hotel.
The evening was organised by the Mayoress’s Community Fund in a bid to raise money for their causes, and also in aid of MacMillan Nurses.
Models wore clothes provided by Cosmetique, in St Nicholas Street, while the head wear came from Get A Head Hats in Snainton.
Mayoress Sheila Kettlewell said: “All through the year we hold fundraisers for local causes, and we decided to boost funds and hold a fashion show.
“We also wanted to raise money for MacMillan as the committee felt they it was a deserving cause.
“Everyone had a wonderful time on the night. The Royal looked after us all very well, and the supporters enjoying seeing all the different outfits on show.”
The event raised around £650, which contributed towards the £11,500 raised by the Mayoress’s Community Fund this year, which will be donated to local causes.
