Hundreds of people watched in delight as Santa arrived by fishing boat into Scarborough harbour.
The annual event, which took place on Saturday, event draws huge crowds to the South Baby every year.
Staff from Boyes wore fancy dress and were on hand to escort Santa through the town to take up residence in his grotto at the store.
Manager Chris Golder said: “It was excellent - a really good day. We were blessed with the weather again - I think Santa must have ordered it!
“With the people at the seafront and those in town, there must have been about 2,000 people altogether.”
The YMCA and Yorkshire Coast College band were also at the seafront to help entertain the crowds.
