MEMBERS of the Scarborough Hospital catering team have been presented with certificates in food hygiene.
Fifteen of the team’s chefs and supervisors received their Level Three Certificate – of which there were nine merits – whilst nine members of the catering team received their Level Two Certificate in basic food hygiene.
The on-site training took place between June and October last year and was conducted by Scarborough-based company Tom Davey Training.
James Hayward, director of facilities, presented the staff with their certificates. He explained: “The food that we serve our patients is a big part of their hospital experience and it is important that our staff have the training, knowledge and skills to be able to prepare and serve high quality food, safely. I would like to thank the team for their continued hard work.”
