Have your say

YORK Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is urging people to come forward and play an active role in shaping the future of NHS services in Scarborough.

The trust urgently wants to recruit new members so that people in Scarborough can have their say as York and Scarborough Hospitals and community services move towards becoming one organisation next year.

Penny Goff, membership manager, said: “There has never been a better opportunity for people in Scarborough to get involved. As an NHS Foundation Trust we have greater financial freedom to provide services.

“Being a member means that you can have a real say in how your services are run. It gives you the opportunity to support, contribute and influence your local NHS and to be consulted on future plans.”

Anyone over 16 can join and it is free. Email at penny.goff@york.nhs.uk or by telephone on (01904) 725233 or go to www.york.nhs.uk
