SCARBOROUGH people who find themselves too embarrassed to visit the doctor are being encouraged to try a new online advisory service.

New website www.thehealthcounter.com has featured on the small screen as the sponsor for Channel Four’s Embarrassing Bodies, which filmed in Scarborough in summer 2010.

Dr Christian Jessen and Dr Dawn Harper took the South Bay sands to help people with their embarrassing medical niggles.

The show is now airing a new series on Monday nights, helping people who have often suffered in silence for months or years.

A spokesman for thehealthcounter.com said: “Of course, it takes a lot of courage to show, not only the doctors, but also the nation, your most embarrassing medical conditions.

“Thankfully those with less bravado can head to the show’s sponsor, www.thehealthcounter.com for discreet advice and treatment.”

The Healthcounter doctors review consultation information, provided via an online questionnaire, within approximately one hour. The clinical team assess the medical information supplied and prescribe the required medication. Orders are sent in discreet packaging, either by post to your chosen delivery address via recorded delivery or to your selected Day Lewis pharmacy.

Your GP will only be contacted if consent has been granted, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
