SCARBOROUGH Hospital still has two wards closed due to a sickness bug.
Oak and Chestnut wards are closed to admissions and two other bays are closed, which should reopen today.
Liz Booth, Scarborough health trust’s director of operations, said: “These areas are still closed to visitors other than for essential visits at the discretion of the ward manager.
“Visitors can call the hospital before visiting to find out if a particular area is closed. People who have been unwell should not visit the hospital until they have been free of symptoms for 48 hours.” Ms Booth thanked local GPs and the ambulance service for their help in managing the situation.
