THE Railroad Hobos celebrate their eighth anniversary with a gig at the Tap and Spile on Sunday, at 4pm.

“We always book ourselves at the Tap for this date because it’s where we started playing our kind of music,” says singer Vince Townsend.

“It’s also the venue that hosts our annual tributes to Buddy Holly, Woody Guthrie and Hank Williams, so it’s considered our spiritual home”.

Besides Vince, the Hobos are John Hesp, Al Lawrence and Jesse Hutchinson, who will be joined by an unnamed guest.
