Race Director, Chris Clayton, said: “It was the best McCain Yorkshire Coast 10k and Family Fun Run yet. With fantastic weather and a record number of participants for both runs - we’ve never had an atmosphere quite like it.

“It really is an event for everyone. We saw people creating personal bests, while others were running for fun with their friends. We even had 20 runners who were over the age of 70.

“The fun run was also a success, with over 700 participants, which I think you’d struggle to match at similar events across the UK.

“None of it would have been possible without our title sponsor McCain Foods. For the past six years, McCain has helped us organise the event and we’re extremely thankful for their support.”
