Having identified a significant gap in the market, McClarrons decided to build its own product supported by global insurer AXA and legal firm rradar.

The event saw over 700 delegates from members of the network, the largest of its kind in the country.

Sean McClarron, managing director at McClarrons, said: “It is so important to us that our rural clients have everything they need to protect their business, which is how Rural Protect came to be.

“We’ve seen a massive uptake on this product, with over 80% of our rural clients making use of Rural Protect. We have seen it benefit clients in numerous ways from helping farmers recuperate losses from third parties, to defending themselves against fines from the HSE.

“We are delighted to see Rural Protect gain such highly regarded industry recognition.”
