PUT yourself in the driver’s seat – that’s the call from fitness expert Jon Burch.

He wants teams to take part in a charity event at Scarborough Indoor Karting, Eastfield, on Monday, from 7pm.

Teams of five are needed – at a cost of £20 per person – with the proceeds going to Multiple Sclerosis.

As well as the race event, Jon is doing the Great North Run, cycling from London to Paris and cycling more than 400 miles in Vietnam to raise funds for the cause.

Mr Burch, who lives in Driffield, wants a venue to host a 12-hour cycle event.

Anyone who wants to take part in the karting event or can help with a venue should call Mr Burch on 07710 472383.

For the karting fundraiser, which will include a tombola and prizes for the winning team, participants can call (01723) 448032.
