KNITTING needles have been clicking in a festive flurry in a bid to make more than 60 miniature snowmen for local children.
The frosty friends were created by the Seamer Stitchers as a gift to toddlers at Seamer Pre School.
Meeting once a week, the team of seven knitters initially set out to stitch around 20 snowmen, however ended up making 65 to ensure every child would get one.
Organiser Lorna Hill said: “We thought as a project it would be nice to do something local for the village.
“We had a look through our patterns and decided to knit little snowmen for children. We are really pleased with them.”
The snowmen are being presented by two of the Seamer Stitchers to the pre school group at its Christmas party on Friday.
