A SCARBOROUGH football fanatic is celebrating after meeting his idols during a soccer film premiere.
Robert Oldham was chosen to cover Will, which focuses on a young boy who runs away to Istanbul to watch Liverpool in memory of his dead father.
Robert, a student at the Graham Raincliffe Federation, reported on the premiere for fans website KopTalk.com, set up 13 years ago in Scarborough by his father Duncan.
The 12-year-old was rewarded with two VIP tickets to the screening and sat alongside current manager Kenny Dalglish and former captain Phil Thompson and ex-manager Roy Evans.
Mr Oldham added: “Robert got to meet all the actors, but most importantly Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish. The pair shared a lift to the private cinema screening, enabling Robert to pick the manager’s brain about future signings!”
