PAINTINGS and photos by South Street Gallery’s resident artist can be seen there until 5 June.
Angela Chalmers is mostly known for figurative paintings.
More recently she has produced a series of photos focusing on Scarborough’s seaside landmarks.
Her photographic technique of selective soft focus creates a scene that becomes strangely model-like.
She says: “I have focused on some of my favourite childhood memories - my photographs aim to playfully re-create a miniature and toy town environment”.
The exhibition also highlights new works by other gallery artists and includes painting, printmaking, ceramics and sculpture.
