Last minute change to talk on birds

Dr Mather, who was due to speak at tonight’s lecture regarding the birds of Costa Rica is now unable to attend due to illness.

Scarborough Field Naturalists Society has been able to arrange another outstanding ornithologist at very short notice and the lecture will still go ahead as scheduled at 7pm in the library.

Andrew Lassey is a leading member of the British Ornithological Union and avian taxonomist. He will present a talk on the birds of Mongolia.

The Society recognises that this will disappoint some people and anyone who has paid and does not wish to hear Andrew Lassey’s very informative lecture will be refunded their money.

The display of bird material from the museum will not now take place, as they are unable to source appropriate material at short notice.

The society apologies for this change, which is completely beyond their control and hope that Dr Mather will attend a Society meeting at a future date.
