We picked up another very solid victory at home to Heath on Saturday.
It was a very tough game against a decent Heath side who came to try and steamroller us, but we stood firm and didn’t let them have it all their own way.
We managed to snuff them out and they were a bit one-dimensional and ran out of ideas when we stopped them in their tracks.
Having said that, they were a big and powerful side and I can see them causing teams problems in the second half of the season.
We got the job done in good fashion and I’m pleased that the guys are really taking each game as it comes in their stride and producing more consistent performances.
It’s difficult to single any one player out from Saturday, it was one of those days where nobody shone in particular, but it was a very solid team effort.
We now go into a very very important few weeks that could define our season.
The guys really have to go to Hullensians this week and put in another big performance if we are to get another win.
They had a very disappointing result over the weekend, so they’ll no doubt be smarting and aiming to bounce back.
We then face tough games against York and finally Bridlington to finish 2016.
They’re both huge games in our season, and I know that if we play well, we can beat both those teams.
It’s really important that we finish the year on a high, and we will be working hard in training to give ourselves the best chance of doing just that.
