International pop sensation Leona Lewis says she “can’t wait” to enjoy “great vibes” with her fans in Scarborough ahead of her performance at the Open Air Theatre on Friday.
Speaking to the Scarborough News, the 2006 X-Factor winner said she had never been to Scarborough before but had seen the North Bay venue and was looking forward to performing there.
“I thing its going to be really fun looking at other shows you’ve had in Scarborough,” said Leona, speaking from Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
“Its going to be a really good show with a real outdoor festival vibe which is always so nice.
“I’m going to do material from all three of my albums so people will get a good all round vibe. There will be a variety of highs and lows from upbeat high energy stuff to big ballads.
“There will be a ten piece band with me, its going to be really amazing.
“I’m excited to see everyone. For everyone that’s coming expect to have a really good time. I can’t wait to see you all.”
Leona is being supported by British singer songwriter Charlie Brown, who stormed the charts with his debut single ‘On My Way’ in May. The pair will be joined by local star Robyn Keech.
Tickets for the event, priced at £35, are available from the box office at the Open Air Theatre and from The Sands office in. Tickets are also being sold by tourist information centres in Filey, Scarborough and Whitby.
