Wednesday - Hole not repaired. Traffic lights covering a two-metre square hole set 100 yards apart. Man in truck monitoring signals all day.

Thursday - Traffic lights still in operation. Monitored all day by man in truck. No repair effected.

Friday - Repeat of situation. No repair effected.

Saturday - Traffic lights still in operation. Nobody monitoring. No repair effected.

Sunday as Saturday.

The commuters on this main road into Scarborough endured long delays at peak times for a week. It should have been rectified on the Wednesday at the latest or, with a little pre-planning, on the Tuesday.

Is this how public money should be spent, incurring unnecessary costs and creating misery for the motorist, workers and patrons of Scarborough.
