The survey will help improve podiatry services in the area.
The survey will help improve podiatry services in the area.

NHS Scarborough and Ryedale Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) would like to thank local communities for taking part in a survey which will help shape and improve community podiatry services.

Almost 140 people took part in the survey which was put together by the Scarborough and Ryedale CCG and NHS Vale of York CCG.

We’ve received some very useful feedback which will help us in the future commissioning process – I want to thank everyone who took the trouble to fill in the survey.

Patients are at the heart of everything we do and the insight we gain through surveys like this make a real difference.

Community Podiatry Services provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disease and conditions affecting the foot and lower limb.

Foot and lower limb problems are common and are a significant cause of ill health, pain and disability and can lead to impaired balance increasing the risk of falling.

It is estimated that 80% of older people have foot related problems and in an ageing society the prevalence of chronic foot problems will rise significantly.

Clinical Lead for Podiatry from Scarborough and Ryedale Clinical Commissioning Group
