RESIDENTS in Hunmanby can have their say on the future of the village’s library tonight.
A meeting has been organised in All Saints’ Church for library users to quiz North Yorkshire County Council officials over plans to close the facility.
The library is one of 24 branches across the county threatened with closure as the authority looks to save £2.3 million during the next four years.
Council bosses have called for greater volunteer action from residents to ease the financial situation and maintain services.
Libraries in Scalby, Eastfield and Ayton are also at risk of closure under the plans.
The consultation period ends on February 28.
The meeting starts at 6.30pm and all are welcome.
