SCARBOROUGH Maritime Heritage Centre has just launched its new exhibition about the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
It is part of the group’s spring and summer programme and celebrates the volunteer organisation.
A spokeswoman said: “The exhibition includes models, painting and information boards. The centre also has a rare RNLI boat model on loan to them for the duration of the exhibition, which concludes at the end of February.”
The centre is in Eastborough and is open Wednesday to Sunday between 11am and 4pm. It is staffed entirely by volunteers and entrance is free.
The spokeswoman added: “The organisation’s aim is to build up an archive of various materials regarding maritime life on the Scarborough and Yorkshire coast and make them available to the public.”
