BREAKING: Man charged for alleged assault on policewoman
A man allegedly punched a policewoman in the face following a road traffic collision in Scarborough.
The incident is believed to have happened at around 2.30am this morning (Sunday) in Scalby Road at the Stepney Drive junction.
Paul Cording of North Yorkshire Police took to Twitter to voice his anger about the incident.
He later posted a Tweet which said: “The driver has now been charged with failing to provide and assault PC.
“Let’s hope the magistrates take a dim view of his behaviour.”
