A plaque dedicated to the memory of Sir Jimmy Savile outside his former flat in Scarborough has been vandalised.
The attack comes in light of recent allegations made about the star and his reported sexual abuse of underage girls.
Wording, scrawled in black marker pen, makes reference to this week’s revelations.
The plaque, which sits outside Savile’s former holiday home in Wessex Court, in the Esplanade, was defaced over night.
