Volunteers wanted for St Catherine’s Hospice

ST CATHERINE’S Hospice will be holding a volunteer recruitment day on Friday at 137a Victoria Road from 11am to 2pm.

Vacancies are available for: sales advisors, till operators and merchandisers for the furniture and electrical shop.

Spokesman Debbie Jewison said: “With the relocation of our busy North Marine Road shop we require more volunteers to kindly give some of their time, and join the existing team.”

She added: “We will also be looking for volunteers to help with our new eBay shop opening soon and require volunteers for research, photography and people to pack the items when they are sold.

“This is an exciting new venture for Saint Catherine’s and we are eager to start; but having spoken to other hospices and heard about their successes we will be requiring some help and would love people to join our team of volunteers to do just that.”

YH Training will also be available on the day to discuss NVQ opportunities in Retail or possibly IT while volunteering.
