Yorkshire Coast College is offering Scarborough residents the chance to try out free activities as part of Adult Learners’ Week.
The taster sessions are taking place from Saturday to promote the benefits of lifelong learning.
Anyone interested in animal care can get an introduction to some of the basic skills required, while hair and beauty are welcoming adults into The Aura Salon to learn some of the latest styling techniques.
Those interested in engineering can learn about basic car maintenance, while those keen on the care sector can learn how to bathe a baby. The hospitality team is offering the chance to take part in a cake decoration taster and a singing workshop will be held.
A spokesman said: “If you’re over 24 and thinking of studying for a Level 3 qualification in September 2013 you may be able to apply for an Advanced Learning Loan to help you pay for your course.”
There will also be fitness activities for anyone interested in sport or uniformed services. For more information call 0800 7317410 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
